Position Summary
Kiewit is currently looking for Operators for the Cheekeye Project located in Squamish, BC.
Requirements
- Experience operating rock trucks or similar hauling equipment
- Willingness to assist with general labour tasks as needed
- Experience working around heavy construction equipment
- Availability to work overtime, nights, and weekends based on workload
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Familiarity with basic tools and equipment
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations
- Valid driver’s license required
Shift Information
- 14/7
- Nightshift and dayshifts available
- Must be willing to work additional overtime/weekends if required
Additional Information
- Wage: $37.87
- Night shift premium
- Upon an offer, all candidates must be able to pass a Drug, Alcohol, Background Check, and 50lb Fit to work test
- CSTS, WHIMIS, Driver’s license and 5-year Abstract
- Due to the volume of applicants, only candidates who meet the minimum requirements will be contacted
Project Information
Kiewit is responsible for building the 24-meter-high debris barrier, which will span 200 meters and use roller-compacted concrete with a slot system designed to capture debris during large flow events. This barrier is one of the largest of its kind globally, and it's engineered to protect both the new development and existing communities from catastrophic debris flows off the Cheekeye Fan.
