Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and committed teacher to deliver two secondary mathematics courses during our Fall 2025 term: MTH1W (Grade 9 De-Streamed Mathematics) and MAP4C (Grade 12 Foundations for College Mathematics). The ideal candidate will bring both rigour and care to the teaching of mathematics, preparing students for success while managing the administrative requirements of a Ministry-inspected program. This is a part-time, in-person role from September 2 to November 28, with teaching scheduled five days per week.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver in-person instruction for MTH1W and MAP4C from September 2 to November 28

Prepare, adapt, and maintain up-to-date course outlines aligned with Ontario curriculum expectations and inspection standards

Ensure all assessment and evaluation materials are published and current, including unit overviews, learning goals, success criteria, rubrics, and sample student work where appropriate
-
Create a well-managed online course space with timely updates, materials, and assessment information for students and families
-
Maintain an accurate gradebook within our LMS, tracking marks, due dates, and feedback
-
Scan and archive all major assessments and final exams for internal records and future inspection
-
Prepare students for final evaluations with dedicated review sessions, exam coaching, and targeted feedback
-
Complete midterm reports, attend parent meetings, and submit final marks and comments in accordance with school reporting timelines

Participate in all course-related administrative expectations including report card preparation and exam marking
-
Communicate clearly and consistently with students and families to support success and accountability
-
Contribute to a school culture that values clarity, professionalism, and ongoing improvement in teaching practice
What We Are Looking For:

A teacher who delivers instruction that balances academic expectations with student support

Ability to manage deadlines, records, and assessment data independently and reliably
-
Experience teaching secondary mathematics with a structured, standards-based approach
-
Confidence in communicating with families and school leaders to support student outcomes
-
Familiarity with online course management, asynchronous updates, and hybrid communication practices
-
Commitment to building respectful student-teacher relationships grounded in accountability and growth
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject; Bachelor of Education preferred
-
Documented teaching or tutoring experience in a Canadian school or equivalent Ontario-based training
-
Prior experience teaching MTH1W and/or MAP4C is preferred
-
Proficiency in English and clear written communication

Availability to teach in person during the school day, five days per week, from September to November
Additional Information:
This is a Fall Term-only position running from September 2 to November 28. Teaching blocks are scheduled to allow for consistent daily contact with students. Success in this role may lead to consideration for future opportunities as the school expands.
