As a Corporate Contractor Driving Instructor, you will be providing training for AMA's corporate clients both in-vehicle and in classroom. This position is responsible for the performance of students and participants of AMA Driver Education programs. The position requires a strong focus on instructional ability requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Report to the Manager, Corporate Driver Training.
- Provide exceptional in-vehicle and classroom service delivery resulting in high levels of member client satisfaction with AMA Corporate Driver Training programs.
- Incorporate a variety of teaching methods to ensure students can apply and transfer knowledge of concepts and skills.
- Adhere to AMA Corporate Training and Alberta Transportation curriculum and standards.
- Daily monitoring and documenting of instructor timesheets and student progress, including evaluations and driver reports of Driver Education courses.
- Deliver performance-based feedback and coaching to corporate training participants.
- Provide technical support to the Manager, coordinator, and in-vehicle and classroom instructors.
- Produce timely and relevant driver evaluations and assessments through written reports.
- Maintain fleet vehicles.
- Address member/customer concerns in a timely manner.
- Flexibility to meet business needs as needed such as working occasional late afternoons, evenings or weekends.
- Travel to various locations across Alberta as needed.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE
- You have a high school diploma.
- You’ll need a valid Class 5 driver’s license for this role and have been driving with it for at least 2 years.
- Alberta Class 5 Driving Instructor license and experience (classroom, un-restricted in-vehicle and Defensive Driving course) is highly desired but not required.
- Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC) license is highly desired but not required.
- You have a clean Driver’s Abstract (10 years).
- Bonus points if you have a degree in education or demonstrated instructing experience.
