About the team and the role:

The Engineering Systems Tools team owns and evolves the enterprise developer platform that powers engineering collaboration, delivery, and governance across the organization. We manage and improve critical tools such as GitHub and Atlassian Jira, ensuring they are secure, scalable, coordinated, and optimized for developer efficiency.

We are looking for a Software Developer who combines strong technical expertise in enterprise application development and administration with a focus on delivering valuable solutions.

In this role, you will not only build and customize platforms like GitHub and Jira, but also shape their roadmap, improve user experience, and drive adoption across engineering teams.

You will work closely with engineering, security, and product collaborators to ensure our internal platforms deliver measurable business impact.

What you will accomplish:

  • Develop, customize, and coordinate enterprise applications such as GitHub and Atlassian Jira to improve developer workflows and governance.
  • Develop and implement integrations, automation, and extensions that streamline CI/CD, issue tracking, reporting, and collaboration processes.
  • Lead platform improvements from discovery through delivery—gathering requirements, defining success metrics, and prioritizing improvements based on user impact.
  • Improve platform reliability, security, and compliance by implementing standard methodologies, access controls, and performance optimizations.
  • Drive adoption and usability by partnering with engineering teams to understand problems and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Contribute to the long-term product strategy of internal developer platforms, balancing technical feasibility with business value.

What you will bring:

  • 5+ years experience in software development, with hands-on administration and customization of enterprise tools such as GitHub (Enterprise) and Atlassian Jira.
  • Strong experience building integrations and automation using APIs, webhooks, scripting (e.g., Python, Java, or similar), and CI/CD tooling.
  • Proven understanding of developer workflows, SDLC processes, and platform governance in large-scale environments.
  • Experience managing permissions, configurations, workflows, plugins, and system upgrades in enterprise environments.
  • Product mentality with the ability to translate user needs into technical solutions and prioritize work based on impact.
  • Strong communication and collaborator management skills, with the ability to work across engineering, infrastructure, and product teams.
