About the role

Desjardins Capital Markets is looking to recruit an Equity Sales Coordinator into our Toronto office for our Equity Sales and Trading business. We are looking for a highly dynamic and engaged individual with the energy, enthusiasm and capacity to work in a fast-paced and stimulating environment. Communicates professionally at all times, listens to colleagues and clients, responds appropriately and instils confidence and adaptability . In this position, the candidate will provide direct support to the head of Sales. The employee would be responsible for data management, analysis, the creation of documents and presentation materials as well as providing various operational support activities to the department as instructed by the manager. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Support the manager to manage and follow up on his or her agenda, performs clerical activities for the manager (revision of various documents, organizing meetings)
  • Perform various operational activities related to the unit's business processes (data retrieval and processing, research and information analysis, follow-up of internal and external client requests, application of the programs and policies, file status, booking travel arrangements, expenses etc.)
  • Perform Ad hoc requests from Head od sales and other team members
  • Act as an operational resource within the Sales, Trading and Research group for tasks such as organizing event schedules and meetings
  • Work closely with Corporate Access Specialist: Provide support to the Corporate Access team for the coordination & execution of all corporate (deal and non-deal) roadshows, site tours, conferences, and sales desk updates. Helping with pitch decks and lunch setups.
  • Work with and maintain entries for client management database – Salesforce.com/Tier 1
  • Perform Various administrative tasks related to internal management of the Sales & Trading group (expenses, billing, service calls, inventory and material management, document management and file updates)
  • Able to work on a trading floor environment

What you bring to the table

  • College diploma in a related field
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Available to work Monday to Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM and in office Monday to Thursday
