About the role

Position Overview

Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with a respected and established organization in the construction services and project support sector to recruit an Estimator for their growing Western Canadian operations. This role is well suited for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys transforming complex project requirements into precise, competitive pricing.

The Estimator will play a critical role in supporting projects across Manitoba and Saskatchewan by responding to a high volume of inbound requests and delivering accurate, timely estimates that support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for a wide range of project types based on drawings, specifications, and scope documentation

• Review tender and bid packages to identify scope requirements, risks, and pricing considerations

• Complete quantity take-offs and coordinate pricing for labour, materials, equipment, and third-party services

• Communicate with customers and internal teams to clarify assumptions, timelines, and project requirements

• Participate in pre-bid discussions and internal planning meetings as required

• Compile and submit complete, well-documented tender and proposal packages

• Provide pricing support for revisions, change orders, and project updates

• Manage multiple concurrent estimates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or a related technical discipline is an asset

• 2+ years of estimating experience in a construction, infrastructure, or industrial services environment

• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents

• High level of accuracy with excellent analytical and organizational skills

• Confident communicator with the ability to work closely with customers and internal teams

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort working with estimating and project software

• Experience in a service-based or project-driven construction environment is considered an advantage
