About the role
The Opportunity:
McKay Métis Contracting, an entity of McKay Métis Group, is seeking a temporary Turnaround Spotter with a potential to be permanent.
The Role:
Reporting to the Team Lead/designate, the Turnaround Spotter is responsible for the following:
Accountabilities:
- Maintain communication with workers and operators using radios, hand signals, instructions
- Stop unsafe work immediately and escalate hazards to the Supervisor/designate
- Ensure all turnaround activities comply with site safety rules, permits and company policies
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Monitor and guide mobile equipment to prevent incidents
- Control pedestrian and vehicle traffic around congested work areas
- All other duties as required
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Previous industrial, plant or turnaround experience preferred.

Knowledge of site safety practices

Strong communication skills (verbal, hand signals, radio use)

Ability to remain alert and focused at all times

Successfully complete all pre-employment testing requirements

Class 5 Driver’s License
Schedule:
5 days, 5 nights followed by 5 days off, working 12 hours a day.
Salary:
Competitive hourly wage.
