About The Role As ATB’s next Third Party Risk Manager , you will serve as a strategic partner to the business, transforming third-party risk management into a competitive advantage. You will drive proactive risk management across the relationship lifecycle, providing actionable business advice and identifying strategic efficiencies. Your expertise will be critical in collaborating with internal and external partners to mitigate risk while enabling the achievement of key business objectives
Accountabilities
- Conducts third party risk assessments, facilitating cross-functional collaboration through activities such as SOC report assessments, business continuity management assessments, and financial health assessments
- Identifies and assesses current and emerging third party risks in the context of business objectives, and recommends appropriate control measures to business owners
- Interprets and translates complex risk data from assessments (including SOC reports, business continuity and financial health) into clear, actionable insights for business leaders
- Effectively communicates the business impact of recommended actions to influence decision making
- Leads the development and maintenance of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) processes, standards and templates in line with the TPRM Policy and Framework and industry practices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable enterprise-wide alignment
- Proactively identifies opportunities for efficiency and quality gains by leveraging technology and data analysis tools, including safe and governed applications of GenAI
- Communicates proactively with team members, other Business Units, and leaders to advise on third party risks
- Contributes to accurate and timely leadership, Committee and Board reporting on third party risks, metrics, and industry trends
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a strategic role within risk management, vendor management, or a related function focused on business enablement and strategic advisory
- Experience with the third-party (vendor/supplier) lifecycle
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Management, Accounting, or a related field, with a focus on supply chain or risk management
- General knowledge of contracting and/or vendor management
- Working knowledge of the banking/financial services industry is an asset
- Specialization in Third Party Risk Management (e.g., C3PRMP) is preferred
Work Arrangement
This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 1 day on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.
