Position Title: Project Manager (PM)
Type: Fulltime
Position Location: Fort McKay, Alberta, Head Office
Schedule: 40 Hours per week. Monday to Thursday (Alternating Friday off)
**This is a LOCAL position. Applicant must reside in the Fort McMurray Region or be willing to relocate at their own cost**

Role Summary
Bouchier is seeking a Project Manager to take the lead in planning, executing, and delivering projects ranging in value from $200k to $50M. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with client specifications and safety standards. This includes coordinating with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes. The Project Manager will also provide leadership and guidance to project staff and prepare progress reports. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and assist other project teams when required.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organizational and communication skills. You must be adept at managing relationships with clients and stakeholders, equipped with extensive knowledge and experience in civil construction project management, and motivated to drive results.
Primary Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and oversee project activities, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and scope.

Maintain oversight of project manpower and equipment to support operational efficiency.

Manage project costs and expenses, providing regular financial and progress reports to client.
-
Assign and delegate project tasks based on requirements, team capacity, and individual qualifications.
-
Lead and facilitate project meetings, including safety briefings, progress reviews, and stakeholder updates.
-
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and organizational policies throughout project execution.
-
Support all pre-construction activities.
-
Analyze and optimize operational processes, workflows, and safety practices to improve efficiency and risk management.
-
Develop project plans, schedules, and safe work strategies to meet organizational and client objectives.
-
Estimate and allocate resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to support project delivery.
-
Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Education and Experience:
-
Post-secondary education in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
-
Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in project coordination, supervision, or management within construction, industrial, or related sectors.
-
Proven experience in budget management, cost control, and resource allocation.
-
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
-
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and compliance standards.
-
Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and standard office applications.
-
Certification(s) such as PMP, CAPM, or equivalent considered an asset.
-
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
