The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Robotic Process Automation, the Automation Lead is responsible for leading end-to-end process improvement and automation projects, from discovery through deployment and support. The role will design and deliver scalable workflow and process automation solutions, including scripting and AI-enable capabilities where appropriate. The Automation Lead will collaborate with business partners to improve efficiency and ensure secure, compliant adoption.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
As the successful candidate, you will:
- Lead full lifecycle of automation and process improvement projects including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment and post-production support
- Build, automate, and deploy process improvement solutions using a range of digital technologies including workflow automation, low-code/no-code platforms, scripting languages and emerging AI-assisted development tools
- Analyzes existing process flows, use cases, and technical requirements to uncover new automation opportunities and improve operational efficiency
- Documents scripts, algorithms, and automation logic in a clear and structured manner to support sustainable, scalable, and reliable automation solutions
- Create AI-assisted solutions to improve workflows and processes
- Collaborate with business partners to understand business processes, identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into process flows and technical specifications
- Collaborates with developers to integrate solutions with other systems
- Provides technical guidance as a subject matter expert to staff, coordinates schedules and assigns tasks to reach overall objective within cost, quality and timelines
Your Skills and Qualifications
- You have a bachelor’s degree in business, software engineering or a related discipline
- You have a minimum of 7 years of experience in process improvement and automation roles
- You have 1-2 years of experience leading full lifecycle automation or process improvement projects
- You have experience with some of the following: Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automation and Power Apps), low-code/no-code tools and workflow automation, or scripting languages such as Python
- You have experience bridging business needs identified in process maps with technical implementation
- You have strong problem solving skills, using critical reasoning to address process bottlenecks
- You have strong analytical judgment to guide projects toward effective, practical solutions to achieve process improvement goals
- You have expertise in prompt engineering, designing clear, strategic instructions that guide AI systems
- Knowledge of using Microsoft Azure AI Services or Gemini Code Assist considered an asset
- Knowledge of lean fundamentals to streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies and continuously improve considered an asset

Salary Range
The expected base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000.
The actual salary will be determined based on factors including but not limited to, market conditions, relevant experience, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, qualifications, and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs to earn additional compensation. Incentive compensation is tied to established business and individual performance targets.
