CANS 420 Shaping Public Affairs in Canada

The course explores key aspects of public affairs and leadership in Canada. The goal main is to allow students to learn about and discuss key public issues while interacting with Canadian practitioners. Every week the instructor will lecture on the topic at hand before welcoming one or several guest(s) involved in the particular area of public affairs under consideration. This should allow students to learn about public affairs in Canada from the lectures, the readings, and actual leaders in the field.

Teaching Qualification Requirements:
Education: Ph.D with specialization in relevant areas
Experience: Knowledge and teaching experience in Canadian public affairs.

Schedule: Tuesdays, 02:35 pm-05:25 pm , January 5 2026 - April 14 2026.
Location: FERR 105
