About the role
Forbes Bros Ltd. is looking for a skilled, full-time, permanent Hydrovac Operator (full-time, permanent) to join our growing team supporting our projects based out of the Prince Albert, SK region.
The Hydrovac Operator will require successful candidates to safely operate and maintain Vacuum/Hydrovac trucks as required at multiple projects and work sites. The ideal candidate would possess working experience operating Vacuum/Hydrovac trucks in addition to experience within the construction industry. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and policies, equipment maintenance, and working in various weather conditions and environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromises on safety in all aspects of our every day
- Responsible for preforming pre & post trip inspections, roadside repairs, and general clean-up of units
- Drives and operators hydrovac units to complete tasks associated with daylighting, excavation, trenching & shorting
- Rigging in and rigging out of equipment, hoses, fittings, pipes, etc., as per job specification
- Complete all required paperwork daily
- Provide hands-on assistance to crew members as required
- Read and understand drawings & making calculations and adjustments in grades
- Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned
Candidate Requirements:
- Class 3 driver's license with airbrake endorsement, is required
- General knowledge of the principals involved in the operation of construction, boring/directional drilling and underground utilities considered an asset
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) certification, an asset
- Ground Disturbance Level II, an asset
- Ability to work in field/site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote/site work schedule
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
- Able and willing to present an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract
