About the role

Job Summary: The Production Team Leader coordinates, trains, and supervises the daily activities of sub-leader and production associates in the designated department to ensure safety, quality (rejects, claims, sorting), cost (PPLH), and delivery targets are met. Ensures daily checks are completed so systems are functioning properly. Complete and submit end of shift requirements and communicate to manager on any departmental issues (e.g. machine, safety, etc.). Enforce company policies and procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.

As of March 30, 2026 Starting Rate:$31.06 + shift premium (ranging from $1.50, $2.50 and $3.50 per hour depending on the hour of the day)

Qualifications: **Reports to:**Production Manager, General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Good attendance and quality record.
  • Musashi production experience or previous supervisory experience.
  • Capable of being signed off on all production lines in specified department.
  • Excellent technical skill and knowledge. Familiarity of ISO, IATF, MQCD; understanding of inventory management. Ability to learn and apply Quality Core Tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Problem Solving.
  • Intermediate user level with Microsoft Excel; learning and use of SAP, Stop-Call-Wait, and Pro-Link software.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple priorities, associates and assignments.
  • Ability to be trained to operate Forklift, and/or Overhead Crane.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performance management and overseeing associates and sub-leaders assigned to their department.
  • Ensures good employee relations and provides associate coaching and counselling where appropriate.
  • Coordinate sub-leader and associate daily assignments.
  • Lead daily start up meeting.
  • Track and ensure production schedule is met. Coordinate and perform changeovers and monitor production to ensure compliance with shipping schedule.
  • Ensures daily checks are completed so systems are functioning properly.
  • Complete and submit end of shift requirements and communicate to manager on any departmental issues (e.g. machine, safety, etc.)
  • Communicate with Manager and supporting departments regarding production and associate issues in the areas of Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
  • Suggest departmental improvements in areas of cost, delivery, quality and production to departmental manager.
  • Assist with new model launches, audits, claim countermeasures, reject review, and kaizen activities.
  • Perform a headcount of associates in the event of an evacuation (i.e. fire drill, power outage, and tornado) and reporting the information to senior person in charge.
  • Follows and enforces company policies in the associate handbook.
  • Communicates accidents, non-conforming parts, machine problems, quality concerns and associate needs to leadership.

Work Environment: This job primarily operates in a manufacturing environment. The associate frequently works near moving mechanical equipment and chemicals. The production floor is not air-conditioned, the associate will be exposed to varying temperatures. The associate will frequently be exposed to loud noise levels. At times, this position may operate in an office setting for report preparation or in a conference room for meetings.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
