INDIGENOUS EDUCATION AND CULTURAL SUPPORT FACILITATORS
The Indigenous Education and Cultural Support Facilitator is a position focused on advancing cultural wellness, identity reclamation, and relational care for Indigenous students. The Facilitator plays a critical and distinct role by providing trusted, relationship-based support and cultural support and advocacy, ensuring students navigating school pressures, intergenerational impacts, racism, and identity exploration receive consistent, culturally grounded care.
This role's primary function is to facilitate cultural connections, community relationships, and identity-affirming practices. Academic assistance is provided through a culturally-informed lens as part of a comprehensive, wraparound approach. The IES serves as a core member of the Indigenous Education Team, leveraging lived experience, cultural knowledge, and relational strength to support students, staff, and families.

The preferred start date is January 19, 2026.
Posting will remain open until both positions are filled.
Two positions are available with a workday of 8:00 - 4:00. The successful candidate will work with schools throughout the Division. The positions can be based out of either Drayton Valley or Rocky Mountain House.
Successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory and recent (within six months) criminal record with vulnerable sector check upon hiring.
