About the role
Civeo Services Employees LP is currently looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team in a dual role as Bartender/ Camp Attendant.
This dynamic position involves preparing and serving both alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages, providing food service in the lounge, maintaining cleanliness of the lounge area, and performing room attendant duties as needed. Reporting to the designated Supervisor, the successful candidate will work 20 days on and 10 days off rotation at our Ft McMurray Village site.
Key Responsibilities:
Bartender Duties:
- Take and prepare drink orders, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Serve drinks and snacks to patrons, ensuring responsible alcohol service.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the bar area, including glassware and equipment.
- Restock and manage bar inventory, including changing kegs, CO₂ tanks, and syrups.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle payments.
- Comply with all liquor laws and perform general cleaning tasks as needed.
Camp Attendant Duties:
- Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing within target times.
- Make beds and change sheets according to schedule.
- Clean washers, dryers, and laundry areas, including behind machines and removing lint after each dryer cycle.
- Sanitize washrooms—shower stalls, mats, sinks, toilets, and floors—after every shift change.
- Review the Daily Room Allocation sheet and address any special requests or needs.
- Report damage, theft, or abandoned items to the Manager.
- Follow all safety policies, safe work practices, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- ProServe Certificate is required
- Minimum 5 years of bartender and food service experience in the hotel and restaurant industry
- Working knowledge of cocktail recipes, the characteristics of wine, beer and spirits
- Knowledge of AB Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) policies and regulations
- Manual dexterity and ability to stand for a long period and work physically lifting up to 50 lb. daily
- Strong focus on safety, including personal safety, safety of co-workers, and protection of property on the job in accordance and compliance with company practices, industry standards, and government regulations.
- The successful candidate must be able to stand or walk constantly, lift heavy items such as kegs of beer, which means frequent lifting of at least 50 lb. and frequently push or pull at least 65 lb.
