We are seeking an aspiring, self-motivated, and collaborative Project Manager to be at the forefront of leading the growth of our Northern Ontario business unit.

You’re not just a leader, but a catalyst for building business. Your mission? Partnering with us to foster an environment where business grows, and people are empowered!

In this role, your expertise will directly contribute to improving communities across Canada. You’re committed to continuous improvement and actively seek out innovative ways to take our operations to new heights.

Your knowledge in planning, design, and construction infrastructure will be instrumental in transforming water for the better. Together, we can help communities access safe and reliable drinking water, while also preserving the environment for future generations.

Responsibilities:

  • You’ve completed a number of projects, varying in size and scope in the public sector relating to educational, municipal or other institutional buildings, facilities and essential infrastructure
  • Participate and present a unified company voice within the local business community, through networking, and active participation to help grow the business.
  • Cultivate, direct, and seek opportunities to grow your accounts across Northern Ontario
  • Your clients trust you and rely on your knowledge, skills and expertise to achieve their business goals and objectives
  • Serve as Account Manager to develop and enhance key strategic accounts within your sector.
  • Secure, manage, and expand a portfolio of projects to meet and exceed fee income targets.
  • Develop strong client relationships and act as the client’s single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client’s goals and objectives.
  • Chair project and site meetings, find resolution to issues and coordinate between multiple stakeholders.
  • Ensure that client expectations and satisfaction are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues.
  • Maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Team, Principal or Regional Vice President.

Qualifications:

  • A strong desire to grow our business presence in the local market and meet company growth targets.
  • A university degree or diploma in engineering or construction management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience).
  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience in project coordination and management
  • Experience building and nurturing long-term client relationships and working collaboratively.
  • An established network of industry contacts and relationships within the region as well as involvement with applicable regional industry and trade associations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills including a proven ability to develop winning proposals and win competitive interviews.
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, P.Eng., CET, or similar industry-recognized designation is considered a strong asset.
  • A strong sense of community and involvement in local community boards and associations.
  • Travel required.

Don’t have every single qualification? We know that some people are less likely to apply for a job unless they are a perfect match. At Colliers Project Leaders, we’re not looking for “perfect matches.” We’re looking to welcome people to our diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace. So, if you’re excited about this role but don’t have every single qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway. Whether it’s this role or another one, you may be just the right candidate.

What you can expect:

  • An opportunity to truly impact our communities
  • A flexible work environment
  • A comprehensive onboarding experience
  • Significant professional development, training, and a mentorship program
