This role combines deep network expertise with solution architecture responsibilities, helping ensure our technology investments are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with institutional priorities. Based on the approved job description for Position P4202, this role expands the traditional Senior Network Analyst function by adding leadership in solution architecture and technical design. As a Senior Network Analyst, you will design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the College's network infrastructure while leading the development of integrated technical solutions spanning network, cloud, identity, security, and enterprise platforms. You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and architects to translate business requirements into practical, sustainable technology solutions.

Network Architecture & Engineering
Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure network architectures. Lead the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of network infrastructure including routing, switching, wireless, and firewall platforms. Develop technical standards and infrastructure roadmaps that support long-term organizational goals. Conduct capacity planning, performance optimization, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Solution Architecture & Technical Design
Translate business and functional requirements into high-level and detailed technical designs. Develop architecture patterns that connect network, cloud, identity, security, and enterprise systems. Lead technical design workshops and architecture reviews. Assess technology options and provide recommendations that balance cost, risk, complexity, and business value. Produce architecture diagrams, design documentation, and implementation guidance.
Operations, Security & Reliability
Monitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex infrastructure issues. Partner with Digital Security and other IT teams to implement security controls and reduce risk. Support incident response, change management, and operational excellence activities.
Leadership & Collaboration
Provide technical mentorship and guidance across IT teams. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, project teams, business units, and vendors. Contribute to strategic planning, technology roadmaps, and enterprise standards. Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
WHAT YOU BRING
Two-year diploma in Information Technology, Computer Systems Technology, or a related discipline; or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum 7 years of experience supporting enterprise IT environments. Minimum 3 years in a senior-level infrastructure or network role. Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex network environments. Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and network security technologies. Experience with IT service management and change management processes. Experience producing solution designs, architecture diagrams, and technical proposals. Exposure to cloud platforms, identity solutions, and enterprise integration concepts. Experience mentoring technical staff and providing technical leadership.
