About the role
We are currently seeking an HR Analyst I to join our team for a temporary 18-month contract.
The HR Analyst I assists the Senior HR Analyst in providing workforce analytics. Responsibilities include responding to assigned HR system escalations, providing tier one HR analytics and reporting, and assisting the Senior HR Analyst in identifying and solving process automation issues.
Here’s what would be included as a part of your typical day

Analytics, Metrics and Reporting : Runs tier one reports, participates in surveys, gathers data from various sources and provides data analysis as requested to help identify trends and correlations to uncover insights. Refreshes Power BI reporting and troubleshoots as needed. Creates basic Power BI dashboards. Looks into inquiries and issues assigned by the Senior HR Analyst and ensures reports from assigned HR systems (e.g. Visier, Qualtrics, Oracle, Service Now) are provided according to performance and service level standards.

Systems: Supports quarterly Oracle builds with testing, script updating, and coordinating with People Services and business lines for sign off for builds. Escalates Oracle tickets and participates with IT and external vendor for troubleshooting resolution. Manages People Services ticket oversight for issues in Oracle, TCP, reporting and Service Now. Participates with building articles in Service Now, merges content and builds dashboards for metrics. Hands on with system application within Service Now and is certified in certain modules for in-depth understanding of Service Now.

Operations : Ensures work processes and procedures are compliant with HR practices and guidelines are well documented and communicated to the team as necessary. Coordinates operational requirements for assigned HR applications.

Service Delivery Provides Tier 2 support to HR Employee Centre team with regards to data, system, reporting or other issues with technical requirements.

Process Improvement & Projects : Assists the Senior HR Analyst in creation of procedures and process improvement projects through data analytics and business process automation. Supports assigned projects or work streams as required, usually within the analytics field, providing business and data analyst support.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (HR or related field) or an equivalent combination of experience and education required

HR Analytics certification and/or business intelligence statistical training preferred

CPHR designation or equivalent preferred

2 years in an HR or analyst type role or an equivalent combination of experience and education required
-
Experience with HR technology, HRIS systems, reporting, and data best practices required
-
Experience with Oracle & Service Now is an asset

Strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, creativity, a proven work ethic, self-directed, problem solving and advancing continuous improvement

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people

Proficient with computer software applications, e.g. Microsoft Office

Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
