Job Summary Ainsworth is currently looking for HVAC/R Project Journeymen to join our growing project team. This role is ideal for an individual looking to advance their career in a professional, safety-focused, and supportive environment. The successful candidate will work alongside project team members on commercial, industrial and institutional projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation of HVAC/R-related equipment and components.
- Perform piping installations, repairs, and system modifications in accordance with drawings and specifications
- Support commissioning and start-up activities
- Work on complex HVAC and Mechanical projects throughout the GTA and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate work documentation and reports
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, teammates, contractors, consultants, and clients
- Represent the company professionally on all job sites
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety, Environmental company policies, Government legislation/regulations and union requirements.
- Contribute to the ongoing training and mentoring of indentured apprentices.
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications
- Certificate of Qualification 313A (required)
- Member in good standing with UA Local 787
- G1 Gas Technician License (required)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent work ethic with a strong commitment to safety
- Understanding of Mechanical Installation and repairs.
- Valid Ontario Drivers License with a clean driving record.
- Excellent Math and problem-solving skills.
- Able to maintain RCMP, Public Works Reliable clearance status
- Must be able to lift heavy materials, tools and equipment when required.
