About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Engineering, you’ll bring your experience in fixture, tooling, and gauge design to a dynamic, collaborative environment. You’ll be responsible for developing new designs and modifying existing products to meet client specifications, all while maintaining Gauge-Rite’s commitment to quality and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Design complete fixtures from concept to finished product with minimal supervision Create full 3D surfacing and detailed designs for checking fixtures Produce precise and comprehensive 3D models and technical drawings Apply a strong understanding of GD&T principles Ensure all designs comply with customer requirements and GRI standards Meet project deadlines and deliverables within scope and budget Collaborate with a team of designers and engineers Participate in team meetings and design reviews Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and clients
What You Bring
Proven experience in fixture/tooling/gauge design (Minimum 3 years of previous automotive fixture design experience required) Proficiency in 3D design software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent) Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines A team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills
