Thrive Wealth Management is a wealth management subsidiary of Conexus Credit Union serving members of credit unions and their communities. The Bigger Picture We’re looking for a Wealth Specialist to join our Thrive Wealth Management team in Saskatoon who is passionate about providing new and existing clients with holistic wealth advice and planning. If you’re interested in enhancing and building trusting relationships with members/clients/prospects, then apply for this role today. You’ll work with an experienced team of credit union employees as well as colleagues within the credit union walls to help grow a new book of business with professionalism and integrity at the forefront and taking pride in doing what is right for your clients.

How you’ll be spending your time: As Wealth Specialist , you will provide expert advice allowing the clients you work with to make informed decisions that align with their risk appetite. You will play a key role in the delivery of the world-class member experience that our organization delivers.

In addition to bringing in external business you will benefit from a lead-generating environment with our credit union partners. Through trusted partnerships with credit unions, you will have access to an established pipeline of prospective members and clients. These partnerships facilitate personal introductions of clients/members whose asset levels or life situations demand wealth advice and planning expertise that isn’t offered by the credit union.

As the ultimate team player, you understand that our clients have a variety of needs and, as a result, proactively look to make referrals and introductions whenever it makes sense to do so. You will focus on internal relationship building both at Thrive and partner Credit Unions to ensure healthy relationships and full pipelines.

Your focus will be on building and maintaining a book of business including:

  • Building a sustainable existing client book contact plan and providing value of advice to clients.
  • Building your professional brand and engaging in activities within your centres of influence to add new clients.
  • Building upon your personal professional development to continue to provide high level expert advice.

You will have the flexibility to set up your practice with access to support that will allow you to focus on advice and planning for your clients and members. This includes access to support and resources for marketing, technology, human resources, office management and property and facilities.

The experience you bring:

  • 3+ years of investment and financial service experience
  • A proven track record of delivering sales results
  • IFIC or Canadian Securities Course and eligible to be registered to sell mutual funds
  • Certified Financial Planner designation (CFP®) or eligibility to obtain is required

Compensation: Comprehensive compensation including salary plus commission and bonus.
