Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenanceand resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally. This position will report to the General Foreman.

What you will do:

  • Work with heavy plate steel

  • Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications

  • Follow directions given in layouts, drawings and work orders

  • Welding of various heavy equipment attachments and components utilizing MCAW and FCAW

  • Use of overhead cranes

  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment at all times

  • Ensure workmanship throughout the manufacturing process and on finished goods meets or exceeds the cost, quality and schedule expectations of all customers

  • Active participation in the WBM safety program, ensuring that workplace safety exists at all time

  • Adhere to quality control standards and procedures

  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work environment at all times

  • Other duties as required.

Your qualifications:

  • Red Seal Certified or an equivalent certification in Fabrication or Welding
  • 2+ years experience in Fabrication or Welding
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem solving skills to methodically and logically work through problems
  • Be proficient in the use of all tools common to the fabrication shop environment

  • Safety conscious with knowledge of general safety practices
  • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and cooperatively with people at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently at tasks that require concentration as well as physical effort
  • Time management skills to productively complete work and meet all deadlines
  • Organizational skills to plan out and coordinate work in a logical manner
  • Analytical skills to identify problems and find a solution, or seek advice from the supervisor
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 kg.

Day shift: Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-3:30PM
Day shift: Mon-Thurs/Tues-Fri, 5:30AM-4:00PM
Afternoon: Mon-Thurs, 4:00PM-2:30AM (10% shift premium)
Weekends: Fri-Sun, 5:30AM-5:30PM
