Department Overview
TD Canadian Personal Banking (CPB) Finance is responsible for developing and delivering financial strategy and management support for CPB. This includes providing a wide range of analysis and decision support to ensure the CPB business meet its strategic and financial objectives.

The Senior Group Manager, Finance , Strategic Analysis and Support reports to the Vice President, CPB Finance and works with a talented and diverse team of professionals to provide insightful analysis and advice, management reporting and recommendations for all lines of business within CPB.
The role requires a skillset that can manage key reporting, forecasting, and planning processes while also focusing on details in a high-pressure environment, with a focus on investment prioritization and governance. Critical to the role is also having the ability to step back and take a leadership role in providing proactive analysis, advice, and insight on a range of business and financial issues impacting CPB Finance .
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the Finance team that provides financial reporting to CPB leadership teams and VP CPB Finance, as well as Forecasting/ Planning, and Strategic analysis
- Liaise with key internal partners including the CPB Strategy, Portfolio Management, and Technology teams to lead the CPB investment prioritization and governance processes, including acting as the key leader for the Finance Transformation on technology investments for CPB.
- Lead out business casing and the progress management of CPB's Strategic Investment programs, as well as other key priority investments
- Develop and maintain good relationships with key business, finance and other stakeholders and effectively communicate relevant, meaningful recommendations to senior management
- Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment that requires meticulous attention to detail
- Proven track record of implementing value-added process improvements to increase shareholder value

Job Requirements:
This position requires excellent management skills in finance and reporting, strong business acumen and a willingness to embrace and lead change. The successful candidate must be an individual who is able to work with minimal supervision, contribute to positive work, colleagues and team experience and manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:
- Position requires strong analytical, financial modelling skills to provide high level financial analysis and value-added insight to the business
- CPA/CA/CFA designation would be an asset
- Strong business acumen and analytical capabilities – ability to consolidate a large amount of information into clear, concise analysis to support and drive critical business decisions
- Work effectively with senior executives
- Highly motivated, proactive self-starter with strong time management aptitude, analytical skills, and the ability to be flexible amongst competing priorities and timelines
- Strong organizational awareness and the ability to balance the viewpoints of Finance and the Business Bank
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to build strong business relationships with stakeholders across various functions
- Superior ability to influence and motivate others, including those who do not have a direct reporting relationship
- Ability to negotiate, solve problems and make decisions
