As a Senior BIM/VDC Coordinator working in our Innovation team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in inventing the future of design and construction by supporting and enabling project teams to thrive with state-of-the-art BIM/VDC tools and methods. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion, you will explore and support project growth and execution through BIM (Building Information Modelling) and VDC (Virtual Design and Construction).

What you will do

  • Independently execute and monitor VDC deliverables and support coordinators (level 1 and 2).

  • Produce and manage VDC and contract documentation.

  • Identify additional VDC services and innovative opportunities to support project teams on site, as well as identify additional sales opportunities.

  • Be proactive and participate in various decision-making processes by providing solutions (including project risks, constructability, health & safety, quality).

  • Identify training needs and train project stakeholders in the use of VDC tools and processes.

  • Support and mentor VDC coordinators (level 1 and 2) and supervise trainees.

  • Participate in pilot projects and identify operational (project) needs and communicate them to the team leader.

  • Participate in all phases of a project (proposal, pre-construction, design, construction).

This role could be for you if you have

  • At least 5+ years of BIM experience in the construction or architectural industry.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of BIM experience in the construction or architecture industry.
  • Mastery of ISO 19650 and experience working with BIM software, including REVIT, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Infraworks, Tekla, 3Ds Max, Autodesk Cloud Construction suite, will be considered an asset.
  • Good technical knowledge of building mechanics and construction
