Job Summary:
Reporting to the Divisional Controller Sales , the Finance Analyst II will be responsible for providing financial and analytical expertise. The ideal candidate will be designated (CPA, CFA, CGA, or equivalent) and capable of building dynamic, interactive reports and dashboards that drive business decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of cost structures, the ability to explain cost variances, and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities: Develop and maintain dynamic Excel models and Power BI dashboards to support business performance tracking and decision-making. Analyze cost variances across segments, products, and projects, providing clear and concise explanations to stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions. Maintain and produce the daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting that supports the decision making of business leaders within finance and operations. Conduct the daily/weekly/monthly financial analysis associated with financial reporting and provide meaningful commentary on business performance to management. Validate the accuracy and appropriate accounting treatment of underlying transactions and financial postings within our systems. Automate recurring reports and streamline data processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Prepare monthly reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts with an emphasis on internal controls and risk management. Act as a key finance contact point for financial support to business leaders, operators, and cross-functional team members. Assist with the coordination and execution of the forecasting and/or budget processes. Support external audit requests through the gathering of required documentation and direct interaction to walk through and explain financial processes. Record various routine and ad hoc month end journal entries and accruals. Ensure maintenance of financial systems/technology and procedure manuals for role.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and CPA or equivalent designation. Over 5 years of progressive finance and accounting experience. Experience with ERP systems (SAP/D365/IFS) and reporting tools (Power BI/Excel). Displays relevant knowledge of petroleum or agriculture industry. Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Power Query, PivotTables, dynamic formulas, and VBA/macros). Ability to collaborate across functional groups and build relationships within the business. Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities with strong written and verbal communications skills.
