Senior Data Scientist
Responsibilities
- Develop predictive models and segmentations to prioritize new customer acquisition and optimize profitable customer retention
- Design analytics solutions that support targeted campaigns, personalized recommendations, and cross‑selling strategies
- Analyze customer behaviors, transactions, and product usage to identify growth levers
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to translate data into actionable and effective actions
- Track the performance of business initiatives using relevant and robust metrics
- Drive end-to-end data science projects to improve customer lifetime value and reduce churn
- Supporting data scientists and promoting analytical best practices
- Present analytical results clearly to stakeholders to support business decisions
- Ensure model compliance with regulatory requirements and data governance standards

Prerequisites
- Master's or PhD in data science, statistics, economics, finance, computer science or any related quantitative field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science applied to customer analytics, sales optimization, or revenue growth
- Expertise in segmentation, propensity modeling, attrition prediction and recommendation systems
- Proficiency in Python, SQL and/or SAS, and experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Good knowledge of commercial banking products, customer lifecycle and CRM data
The position will be based in Edmonton or Montreal, depending on the location of the selected candidate
