Summary of Duties:
Reports to the Chemist. Conducts analyses and interprets results of tests performed on waste water and related samples.
Work Performed:
- Receives and collects samples and conducts analysis of waste water and related samples.
- Follows specified laboratory practices. Uses and maintains laboratory equipment as needed.
- Occasionally provides back-up for Laboratory Technician (Outside)
- Keeps records of activities and results and enters data into the Laboratory Information Management system.
- Performs wet chemistry analysis in the laboratory.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A two-year completion of a three year Community College Environmental Technology Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Over six months, up to and including one year.
Specialized Training & Licenses:
Skills and abilities in the following areas are necessary:
- Valid Driver's Licence - Class G.
Compensation & Other Information:
$43,779 - $64,094 (Level 7)
This posting is for one (1) permanent full-time position being filled on a permanent full-time basis.
Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Work Arrangement: Onsite. Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.
These hours of work are subject to change in accordance with the Collective Agreement and may include evening hours and Saturdays.
NOTE: Applicants may be required to complete a job related test.
