Who you are
- You should be comfortable staying close to the codebase and stepping in hands-on when needed — providing technical guidance, debugging complex issues, and maintaining a high bar for quality and efficiency
What the job involves
- This is a great opportunity for an experienced Tech Lead looking to grow into an Engineering Manager role. You’ll take meaningful ownership over both execution and technical direction, while leading greenfield projects leveraging Large Language Models and modern AI technologies
- While this role includes people and process management responsibilities, we expect a strong technical foundation
- You should expect to spend around 75% of your time hands-on, for example coding, reviewing changes, or improving platform stability and performance, as well as act as a key point of coordination between engineering and product, especially when multiple projects are running in parallel
- Work directly with the co-founders on priorities, execution, and technical direction
- Act as the glue between engineering and product, ensuring alignment across teams and parallel projects
- Lead greenfield projects from the ground up, building new products powered by LLMs and AI technologies
- Provide technical mentorship and leadership to engineers on the team
- Plan and run engineering sprints to support predictable, high-quality delivery
- Stay hands-on when needed — coding, reviewing, and debugging complex issues
- Recruit and build a strong engineering team, owning the hiring process end to end
- Support engineers’ growth through feedback, mentorship, and stretch opportunities
- Contribute to company-wide engineering and process initiatives
- Our stack includes: Ruby on Rails, React, PostgresQL, Elasticsearch, Redis. We don't require you to have experience in our stack to apply
