About the role
Type of position: Regular
Your future role on our team As a member of our Mechanical Engineering team, you’ll assist with studies for major projects in the mining, energy and heavy industry sectors.
You may also be asked to provide remote support to our regional offices in Labrador, Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean and Sept-Îles, especially for asset maintenance projects in the mining sector. You’ll be based at our Québec City office, but you may be required to take short trips to our other offices in Eastern Canada.

- Participate in preparing plans and specifications based on guidelines
- Under supervision, carry out the 3D design of equipment and mechanical layouts for all components
- Work with point clouds (3D scanning)
- Coordinate equipment layout with other disciplines, such as the Structural Engineering and Piping groups
- Produce 2D drawings of equipment developed in design and general layouts
- Prepare 2D drawings with full detailing (dimensions, labels, text and notes)
- Participate in technical site surveys
- Ensure the quality of deliverables produced

Summ ary of certifications and job requirements
- College diploma in engineering technology
- From 5 to 10 years of experience as a mechanical technician
- Available for short-term work assignments outside the office
- Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
- Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
- Valid driver’s licence
- Asset: experience in the mining sector
- Asset: ASP Construction card
