Social Workers (MSW) are responsible for the provision of therapeutic services to patients/clients which include, but are not limited to counseling, psychotherapy, advocacy and crisis response. Patient/client care is provided within a Recovery and Rehabilitation Framework and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work
  • Registered as a Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in counseling (individual, family and group) or in a community mental health setting or related field
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Renfrew County and community resources
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member
  • Ability to coach, mentor and influence
  • Proficiency in the use of computer applications and software programs
  • Ability to mentor students
  • Must be flexible and adaptable in a continually changing environment
  • Experience working with a senior population is considered an asset
  • Occasional travel
  • Embodies the LEAN ideology by actively and continually seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital
  • Bilingualism preferred (French/English)
