Security Patrol Guard - Minto Place
Minto Place is a multi-building commercial complex in the heart of downtown Ottawa. While the complex stretches across several addresses (including 344 Slater, 180 Kent, and 427 Laurier), 355 Slater Street serves as one of its key access points and home to several services — most notably the Minto Place R.O. post office.
**Position:**Full-Time Patrol Guard
**Site:**Minto Place (Colliers)
**Hours:**Sunday 1930-0730, 2330-0730 - Monday - Thursday
**Overtime Method:**Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Payrate:$19.77/hour

Job Description:
- Proactive & reactive security patrols
- Cross-training and rotation with control centre staff
- Surveillance monitoring
- Response to incidents
- Report writing
- Investigate routine incidents
- Any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Management of Aggressive Behaviour and Use of Force certification
- Ability to work in a fast-pace and flexible environment while maintaining the utmost professionalism
- Moderate physical activity, standing and walking for long periods of time in outdoor weather conditions
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and customer service orientation
- Remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situations
- Adhere to our Code of Ethics in performing job requirements
- Able to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written English and French communication skills Required
- Management of Aggressive Behaviour and Use of Force Certification

- Paladin Security is willing to offer this certification on a commitment contract (minimum of six (6) months) for new hires upon Onboarding
- Paladin provides an opt-in certification program for applicants who are not currently certified prior to your Paladin onboarding. More details are available as requested during the interview
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
