Title: District Sales Manager Duration: Permanent Salary: $100k-$125k USD (+30% Annual Bonus) $142k - 177k CAD (+30% Annual Bonus) Location: Must reside in Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba
SKF is seeking a District Sales Manager to manage and grow an established territory within its lubrication systems business. This role is responsible for maintaining customer relationships, developing new business, managing a sales pipeline, and growing market share through both direct sales and distributor partnerships.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical sales background, mechanical aptitude, and experience selling industrial or mechanical products. Candidates should be comfortable discussing equipment, learning semi-complex systems, and balancing account management with new business development.
Responsibilities include managing existing accounts, identifying new customer opportunities, developing OEM and distributor relationships, growing territory revenue, and maintaining an active sales funnel. Travel is approximately 50% throughout the assigned territory, with occasional trips to SKF's St. Louis headquarters for training and team meetings.
Required Qualifications 5+ years of successful sales experience Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals Experience in a fast-paced sales environment Strong mechanical aptitude and technical learning ability Experience selling technical, industrial, or mechanical products Ability to manage and grow a sales territory
Nice to Have Qualifications Experience within the lubrication industry Experience with products from companies such as Graco, Groeneveld, or Bijur Industrial distributor experience (Applied Industrial Technologies or similar) Salesforce CRM experience Bachelor's degree preferred
