Accounting Manager
Commercial Property Management Edmonton, AB Up to $130,000 + Benefits Our client, a well-established and growing commercial property management organization, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. Key Responsibilities
Oversee full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties. Prepare and review monthly and year-end financial statements. Lead month-end and year-end close processes. Coordinate year-end audit preparation and liaise with external auditors. Prepare and review GST filings. Perform complex account and bank reconciliations. Monitor accounting controls, processes, and financial reporting accuracy. Supervise, mentor, and support accounting team members. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies.
Qualifications/Must-Haves
8+ years of progressive accounting experience within the property management industry. Commercial property accounting experience. Previous supervisory or people management experience. Strong full-cycle accounting background. Experience preparing month-end and year-end financial statements. Experience coordinating external audits. Proficiency with account reconciliations and GST filings. Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA legacy designation considered).
