Medicine Hat College invites applications for Recreation Assistant I’s in the Athletics & Recreation Department. This is a casual position which requires availability to work a variety of shifts.

A little about the role:

Responsibilities include setting up, taking down and issuing equipment, supervising the gym & fitness center, distributing uniforms, and other duties as assigned. This position also requires some physically demanding labour: doing laundry, mopping the gym floor courts and lifting weight room equipment.

Details:

As a successful applicant you'll have:

  • Grade 12 Diploma.
  • Previous experience in a gymnasium/athletic facility.
  • Current Standard First Aid certificate & CPR C.
  • Responsible & organized.
  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts, i.e. evenings, weekends.

Terms of Employment

Term of Appointment: September 2, 2025, to December 31, 2025

Hours of Work: Up to 30 hours per week, on call as needed

Pay Rate: $15.69 per hour (Start Rate); $17.17 per hour (Job Rate)
