Cloud Infrastructure Expert (Level 2 Support)/Infrastructure Engineer
About the role
Title: Cloud Infrastructure Expert (Level 2 Support)/Infrastructure Engineer Type: Fulltime or open to Contract To Hire Location: Montreal, QC Days in office/ which days: Fully onsite Compensation: $110-120K
Day to Day: Manage technical aspects related to the datacenter infrastructure in Canada: administration and evolution of cloud services (OpenStack, CEPH & S3 storage, networks, security), design and architecture of new services or projects, deployment of technical upgrades, and maintenance of existing environments. Ensure version upgrades, handle complex incidents, analyze and optimize performance, improve service reliability, and continuously enhance the automation, security, and resilience of the cloud infrastructure.
Must Haves: 5+ years of experience Proven track record in Infrastructure (storage - CEPH, NAS -, virtualization, datacenter networks, high availability, monitoring, backup, automation, and incident management) Proven track record in Systems Administration with advanced Linux expertise (Debian/Ubuntu) Proficiency with Open-Source infrastructure and operations tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Git, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) A significant advantage: Good understanding of networking (VLAN, VXLAN, routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, load balancing, firewalls, and network troubleshooting) A significant advantage: Cloud/IaaS experience (OpenStack or other private cloud) Bonus: Knowledge of multi-tenant architectures, virtual networks, distributed storage, and infrastructure orchestration Bonus: Operational experience in level 2 support/operations: complex incident analysis, diagnosis, escalation, procedure writing, and continuous improvement
