Position Description
SickKids Hospital Data Strategy team is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the team!
SickKids' vision of Unprecedented Outcomes Powered by Precision Child Health is anchored in having robust data. SickKids' Enterprise Data Strategy has several key elements, one of which is the establishment of a centralized hub of analytics.
In support of the SickKids Enterprise Data Strategy, we are seeking a dynamic Project Coordinator who can balance multiple priorities and work collaboratively with leadership to support the implementation of core components of the Enterprise Data Strategy. This role is central to supporting the implementation of the SickKids Enterprise Data Strategy and Precision Child Health initiatives, with a special focus on patient experience data and Reporting Now platform management. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across clinical, operational, and technical teams to ensure robust data stewardship, governance, and actionable insights that drive improvements in patient care.
Additionally, this role will support the management of ReportingNow for central intake of data analysis requests and organizing the Analytics Hub Community of Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Strategy & Analytics
- Support the conceptualization, execution, and ongoing refinement of patient experience (PFX) data strategy and the enterprise dashboard strategy.
- Oversee the Reporting Now platform, ensuring timely and streamlined operations.
- Gather, analyze, and migrate patient experience data from various sources to enterprise platforms (e.g., Qualtrics).
- Conduct business requirements sessions, clarify scope, and prepare documentation of business rules and data definitions.
- Perform analytic activities including data analysis, data quality reviews, and preparation of data summaries.
- Analysis of patient experience data
- Organization of data literacy program and community of practice of the Analytics Hub
Stakeholder Engagement & Client Experience
- Facilitate discussions with clinical leaders and operational teams to interpret patient experience data and drive improvement initiatives.
- Provide superior client experience and strengthen relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with counterparts at partnering institutions to enable cross-institutional data sharing and policy development.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
- Support quarterly and annual reporting cycles, including the creation of the PFX Insights Report.
- Identify opportunities to enhance data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
- Monitor usage metrics, prepare status reports, and manage change requests.
Skills & Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or technical certification in a relevant field at a minimum; MSc or thesis-based graduate degree preferred for analyst responsibilities.
- Experience in data strategy, analytics, business analysis, or patient experience management within healthcare.
- Familiarity with business intelligence processes and automated reports (PowerBI, etc.) to communicate key findings.
- Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Advanced quantitative health data analysis skills; familiarity with clinical datasets and hospital information systems (Epic preferred).
- Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools (PowerBI, Qualtrics, Excel, SAS, SQL, R, Python, SPSS).
- Proven experience facilitating engagement sessions and meetings with business owners, end users, and developers.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex quantitative ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and within tight timelines.
- Problem-solving skills, drive for innovation, and ability to execute ideas.
- Previous healthcare and project management experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated commitment and actions in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion objectives
