About the role

Location: McArthur River

As a key member of the process team, you will support the operational needs of McArthur River’s process circuits with a primary focus on underground grinding operations.

This is a 12-month temporary position.

In this role, you will:

  • work closely with process operators, supervisors, and metallurgists to support process operations, process troubleshooting, and laboratory/field studies.
  • complete data collection, analysis, and environmental reporting while following QA/QC guidelines.
  • drive continuous improvement in the laboratory by streamlining data collection analysis.
  • troubleshoot laboratory equipment and perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation as needed.
  • work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.

Required:

  • technical diploma in chemistry, metallurgy or processing;
  • three to five years of relevant analytical or metallurgical lab experience’;
  • equivalent combination of education and work experience considered;
  • team player with excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • willing to work underground in a mining environment; and
  • work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Recommended:

  • previous experience working in an industrial environment;
  • previous experience operating an Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS);
  • Excel and/or AVEVA PI system knowledge; and
  • LIMS and/or SAP experience.
