What to Expect:

We are looking for a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist based at our North York office reporting into the Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition, Inclusion & Belonging. Under the leadership of the Sr. Manager, this role is responsible for implementing the Nestlé Canada DE&I Roadmap and engagement initiatives which includes training and events. They will work closely with the DE&I Council, the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), HR, Corporate Affairs and other groups in the organization to create and foster a culture of inclusion within the Canadian market while driving our initiatives. They will also be responsible for project coordination, reporting and logistics related to all DE&I Programming.

A day in the life:

  • Lead the implementation of the Nestlé Canada DE&I Roadmap, ensuring alignment across all HR practices and functional areas, including Procurement, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Serve as a resource and advisor to employee resource groups and functional business leaders on DE&I-related matters, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct assessments, analyze data and develop appropriate dashboards to measure the efficiency of DE&I initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate training and workshops on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics for employees at all levels.
  • Build reports and presentations for leadership and collaborators to share progress and outcomes of DE&I initiatives.
  • Establish and sustain external partnerships and outreach programs related to DE&I, as well as manage recognition initiatives such as awards for diversity excellence.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, standard processes, and legal requirements associated with diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience working specifically on Diversity & Inclusion projects and HR related programming.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful DEI programs and initiatives.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making and measure impact.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of current legislative and regulatory aspects of DE&I [human rights, employment standards] and DEI principles, practices, and trends.
  • Proven agility in utilizing technology, tools and digital platforms.
