Position Summary

A Quality Manager works directly with various members of the Bailey Team, customers, suppliers, and production to ensure quality in all products, processes, and systems. This role monitors production flow of the shift from material supply to final product output, while supervising all shift production employees.

Position Responsibilities

A Quality Manager is responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Works directly on the production floor to ensure quality in processes and product outcome

  • Conducts training on quality systems and processes

  • Conducts quality audits

  • Implements quality assurance systems, processes, and procedures

  • Responsible for customer retention with a sound warranty service strategy

  • Reviews all warranty returns and identifies field trends and opportunities for product improvements internally and externally, as well as makes a disposition to warranty claim for warranty or non-warranty

  • Inspects the quality of manufactured products to ensure customers’ needs are met

  • Interfaces with production, procurement, and customer service teams

  • Oversees and implements internal and external manufacturing process controls, corrective actions, and systems improvements as required

  • Works directly with local and foreign suppliers to ensure product quality and quality systems

  • Follows all safety practices and guidelines while working including keeping work area clean and free of safety hazards

  • Selects and uses appropriate equipment, supplies and tools

Position Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED
  • At least five years of progressive work experience in a manufacturing, operations, or quality role with at least three years in a supervisory or project management role
  • Experience with performing supplier and internal audits
  • At least one year of experience in machining, welding, and fabrication

Essential Job Functions

  • Work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast past environment while maintaining a professional and upbeat attitude

  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills

  • Lift up to 50 pounds

  • Works overtime and weekends based on business needs

  • Travel both domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
