CL Martina business of Black Diamond Group, rents, leases and sells temporary and permanent modular buildings, including standard buildings ready for immediate delivery and custom-designed solutions. We work with our customers to design and deliver customized solutions, and provide additional services such as delivery and installation, furniture rentals and other add-ons.
CL Martin is hiring a Sales Representativefor ourFloradale, Ontario branch.
This is a primarily on-the-road sales role covering all of Ontario. Occasional visits to the Floradale office would be expected for training and team collaboration; regular in-office attendance is not required. Candidates should be able to travel within their territory and meet customers in person.
The Sales Representative is responsible for meeting and/or exceeding established sales goals and targets to increase revenue and profit for their operating division and the company. They are also responsible for the general management and maximization of margin percentage for all their accounts within a defined geographic region.
The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with a proven track record of developing new business and managing full-cycle B2B sales. They are highly relationship-focused, comfortable working in a field-based environment, and skilled at identifying customer needs and delivering tailored solutions. Experience selling into education (preferred), construction, or government sectors—particularly within modular or rental solutions is strongly preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, call on and build strong relationships with key customers in all the Ontario School boards, private schools, daycare facilities and any industries requiring training centres, etc., and position C.L. Martin as a preferred vendor.
- Actively research and identify new business to solicit by scanning industry journals or reports, networking, education conferences, cold calls and other means to meet or exceed sales targets
- Handle incoming sales calls and walk-in business.
- Build and demonstrate product knowledge on products and key competitive product lines in order to effectively position products. Use this product knowledge to provide technical sales and service support to customers within the territory
- Respond, evaluate, document, and resolve all product inquiries and issues in a timely manner
- Obtain proper approval for sales and rental contracts
- Prepare quotations and contracts that are competitive and satisfy the client’s requirements, while adhering to the Company’s pricing, credit, and payment policies
- Provide timely, written and verbal communication on competitive activities, market conditions, and competitor activities
- Track and communicate sales and rentals relative to target to General Manager, including: maintaining up-to-date profiles of key customers, sales and rental contract documentation into Salesfor CRM
- Completing daily sales paperwork, contract documentation, and maintaining proper files on all leads and projects
- Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints
- Follow up on collection of payment from customers
- Manage, track and submit operational and business development expenditures to Branch Manager in a timely fashion
Qualification :
- Completion of post-secondary school, with a preferred specialization in Sales and Marketing is preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years selling to the following industries: construction, education, energy, government/military sales experience is required
- Rental sales experience a strong asset
- Strong full-cycle sales development skills (deals can range from 1 week to 1 year in duration)
- Experience in the Modular Structures industry a strong asset
- Proven success with making sales and relationship building
- Thrives in a growing, changing, and dynamic work environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate proactivity, flexibility, business acumen, and self-direction
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and CRM software (Salesforce)
- Valid driver’s license would be required
