Position Overview
The Chief of Staff is a strategic, analytical, and execution-focused partner to the CEO of a growing hotel and spa platform. This role plays a critical part in driving value creation by aligning strategy, operations, and brand excellence across a growing portfolio of properties. The Chief of Staff acts as an extension of the CEO, ensuring disciplined execution of initiatives tied to growth, margin expansion, and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
Value Creation & Strategic Execution
- Partner with the CEO to drive investor value-creation initiatives, including revenue growth, cost optimization, operational excellence, and EBITDA expansion
- Translate board and investor priorities into clear, measurable initiatives across properties and corporate teams
- Track performance against strategic plans, KPIs, and investment theses; prepare updates for CEO and board
Investor & Board Support
- Lead the preparation of board materials, investor reporting, and performance dashboards
- Coordinate board meetings, operating reviews, and strategic planning sessions
- Serve as a key liaison between the CEO, private equity sponsors, and executive leadership
Portfolio & Property Operations
- Work closely with Operations and Asset Management to improve performance across hotels and spas
- Support new hotel and spa openings, acquisitions, and brand repositioning
- Identify and scale best practices in systems and processes that focus on: service delivery, spa utilization, pricing, labor management, and guest satisfaction
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Drive alignment across Operations, Finance, Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, HR, Development, and Technology
- Lead high-priority, cross-functional initiatives such as system implementations, pricing strategies, or organizational redesign
- Remove barriers to execution and ensure accountability across teams
Executive Operations & CEO Enablement
- Manage the CEO’s operating cadence, including executive meetings, quarterly reviews, and leadership offsites
- Act as a thought partner and sounding board to the CEO on strategic and organizational issues
- Represent the CEO in meetings as appropriate
Culture, Talent & Scale
- Support leadership development and succession planning across corporate and property leadership
- Help scale organizational structure, governance, and processes to support rapid growth
- Reinforce a culture of accountability, service excellence, and performance discipline
Requirements
Required
- MBA or advanced degree required
- 12–15+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, finance, or senior leadership roles
- Experience working in or with investor/private equity–backed companies
- Strong understanding of multi-property hospitality operations, preferably hotels and/or spas
- Advanced financial acumen and comfort with KPI-driven performance management
- Exceptional communication skills and executive presence
Preferred
- Hospitality, leisure, wellness, or luxury consumer brand experience
- Prior Chief of Staff, CEO, corporate strategy, or operating partner–style experience
- Experience supporting M&A integration, portfolio expansion, or turnaround initiatives
Key Competencies
- Results-oriented with strong execution discipline
- High emotional intelligence, discretion, and judgment
- Ability to influence without authority across corporate and field teams
- Comfortable operating in high-expectation, investor-driven environments
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and change-management skills
