Primary Care Paramedic to perform cardiac testing including ECGs, stress tests, Holter scanning/monitoring, and ambulatory BP monitoring in alignment with CSCT guidelines. Reporting to: Manager, Diagnostics
Responsibilities
- Prepare the patients for non-invasive cardiac testing to investigate cardiac abnormalities and level of function, including Exercise Tolerance Testing and MPIs.
- Explain procedure and educate patients on equipment function as required, as well as collect patient history for procedures and document information for physicians.
- Analyze and summarize test results and generate reports for physician interpretation.
- Serve as a clinical resource by providing information regarding Primary Care Paramedic to staff and patients.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements
- 0-2 years of related experience – open to hiring new graduates!
- Candidates must have unrestricted Primary Care Paramedic license with Alberta College of Paramedics.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Experience with rhythms and 12-lead ECG interpretations.
- Strong IV skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and training.
- Demonstrate effective decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities.
- A cheerful, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively with others as well as the ability to work independently and treat everyone with respect, dignity, and kindness.

This role is for an existing vacancy. Compensation is determined based on market
location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience level, and internal equity.
Candidates with significantly more experience may be considered at a higher
level with adjusted compensation for certain roles.
