Position Summary: Within the scope of the position, to work diligently to ensure that the prescribed quality, condition and level of facilities and services of the hotel and its brand are consistently maintained.

General Duties:

• Lead and coach the Maintenance technicians successfully to ensure the high standards of Siesta Suites are upheld and maintained.
• Ensure that each guest has received the high level of service that is our goal, and has been satisfied with that service, and the facilities provided.
• Properly test swimming pool and hot tub chemicals daily to ensure they are within Interior Health guidelines.
• Properly and safely utilize all maintenance tools / products and chemicals, including but not limited to – snow shovels, rakes, snow blower, leaf blower, lawn mower, pressure washer, etc.
• Complete the necessary duties as assigned in a timely manner.

Areas of Accountability:

• To adhere to all matters related to hygiene, health and safety, and other established legislation, or established company policies.
• To be aware of action to be taken in the event of an emergency (such as a fire, injury, etc.) in accordance with procedures defined by company and hotel policy.
• To be committed to providing exceptional service – exceeding expectations, treating each individual with respect, only doing what is safe, all within the framework of established guidelines.
• To work and communicate in a professional and ethical manner with guests and colleagues – assisting where necessary to foster a spirit of teamwork and to achieve standards of work and guest care as required by company policy.

• To achieve guest satisfaction by anticipating and responding guest needs, ensuring the property is cleaned and maintained in accordance with company and hotel policy.
• To assist with new team member orientation and training within the department if called upon to do so.
• To contribute to cost control through energy conservation and correct usage of storage of all materials/equipment as per company/hotel standards.
• To assist with cleaning duties in order to maintain and clean and well-ordered work area in line with hotel policy.
• To contribute to the security and safety of guests, your fellow employees, the building, company assets, by reporting any suspicious persons, and handling keys/tips as appropriate to the position following procedures established as hotel policy.
• Ensure hotel management is informed of any unusual problems or matters of significance.
• At all times to portray a favorable image of your place of work to the public.
• To perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with company and hotel policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position
• To perform other related duties as may be requested from time to time.
