About the role
The maintenance manager is responsible to ensure all guests and employees have a secure, comfortable environment, to maintain hotel assets through ongoing preventive maintenance programs and to ensure all building systems are operational by working hands-on and coordinating department resources.

to ensure the smooth operation of the physical plant; electrical, mechanical, refrigeration and plumbing,
-
the coordination and performance of general repairs and preventive maintenance of the building,
-
to ensure guest satisfaction by implementing strategies to improve satisfaction score and guests’ willingness to return,
-
to implement/maintain recycling and energy conservation program and loss prevention initiatives,
-
to chair the Occupational Health and Safety Committee,
-
to utilize all aspects of leadership including recruitment, training, performance planning and review, motivation, development and employee satisfaction,
-
to conduct the safety and security training for all hotel employees.
Qualifications:

A minimum of one (1) trade designation; plumber, refrigeration, carpenter or electrician.

2+ years of management/supervisory experience.

Intermediate computer skills; email, spreadsheets, word documents, SharePoint and web research.
-
Previous experience as a trainer is considered an asset.
