The Opportunity
We’re looking to fill a Team Lead, Funding position at RFA Mortgage Corporation! RFA Mortgage Corporation, a division of RFA (Realty Financial Advisors), specializes in Prime lending (Insured, Insurable and Uninsurable). Our goal is to be a long-term leader in the residential lending market by offering more than just competitive rates and compensation. In this role, the Team Lead, Funding will be accountable for the daily execution of the RFA-MC pipeline, including third party operational activities , while efficiently prioritizing funding escalations.
Core Responsibilities
As a Team Lead, Funding you will:
Operations
Analyze data points from various sources, to execute files for instructing. Prioritize files for instructing, reviewing documentation for compliance, and advancing funds. Ability to Review and Approve all legal documentation received by lawyer. Manage team(s) daily funding pipelines. Monitor escalations received from internal and external parties. Proactively responsive to funding inquiries. Diagnose and correct any data entry errors as they appear on funding exception report. Review and adjudicate credit related escalations, that do not result in any material changes to the mortgage amount, mortgage term, mortgage payment. Possess a general credit policy understanding. Proactive follow-ups with solicitors, for all Final reports that remain pending for > 120 days. Provide communication and status updates, for any concerns received from internal partners (Treasury, Credit-Ops), and external partners (Mortgage Brokers, Solicitors). Provide assistance with any other Funding Department related activities. Willingness to support general administrative duties, or special projects as assigned. Providing support to the Director, by continually reflecting on the effectiveness of the funding function, while maintaining an environment of continuous improvement. Provide recommendations for procedural improvements. Investigate internal and external customer complaints; track complaints until resolved or escalated to the appropriate designated party.
Customer Experience
First point of contact for questions and concerns raised by the Funding Team. First point of contact for escalations from Credit Ops (Credit Managers). Promotes a collaborative approach to customer service. Fosters an applied focus, where all inquiries are responded to in a timely manner, with an effort to maintain customer satisfaction. Monitor errors by team members, that can result in operational losses. Provide information to the Director, Funding, for potential coaching opportunities.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products. General knowledge of moderate accounting principles would benefit growth in role. Previous experience with mortgage products, customer service, administrative processes. Experience with reviewing funding and legal related document.
