THE POSITION
The Concession Lead will oversee and mentor a diverse team of individuals with varying abilities and will ensure an inclusive and supportive work environment. The successful candidate will coordinate the setup and maintenance of Concession areas, provide personalized guidance to their team members, and collaborate with management to promote safety, efficiency, exceptional guest service and successful operation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Oversee set-up and readiness of all concessions stands
-
Overseeing concession cashier team made up of individuals with diverse needs during events.
-
Working to develop the concessions team members based on each individual’s abilities and needs.
-
Collaborating with the other concessions lead(s) to develop the team and adapt the job to fit their needs.
-
Communicating team’s performance with management.
-
Responsible for over-seeing and ensuring smooth operations of food stand for the duration of pre-event to post-event.

Monitoring and addressing food production levels though-out the event.
-
Inventorying stock dry goods pre and post event.
-
Working to ensure they are ordering sufficient stock for each event.

Assist our guests as needed.

Maintain a safe, clean and harassment-free work environment; promptly report and address safety issues.

Uphold and be an example of the company Mission, Vision and Values.

Actively participate in safety programs and follow policies
-
All other duties as assigned.
THE INDIVIDUAL
The ideal individual will have the following background:
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests at once.
-
Strong interpersonal and team work skills.
-
Exemplary customer service skills.
-
Schedule flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts.
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Previous experience working in a concession environment is considered an asset.
-
At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in food and beverage.
-
Possess a strong sense of accountability and a natural talent for organizing and prioritizing responsibilities.
-
Must be ProServe certified and be 18 years of age or older;
-
Alberta Health Services Basic Food Safe
-
High school diploma is considered an asset.
Physical Requirements
-
Constant low level, waist level and above shoulder lifting;
-
Constant front and side carrying;
-
Occasional pushing and pulling;
-
Constant repetitive movements;
-
Rare sitting;
-
Medium lifting between 25-50lbs
-
Constant standing, walking and stair climbing;
-
Frequent crouching, kneeling and reaching.
Working Conditions & Hazards
-
Exposed to non-weather related cold temperatures;
-
In areas with low levels of CO exposure;
-
Wet and slippery floors;
-
Pinch points and tight working spaces throughout building;
-
Exposed to high noise levels.
Please note that this position is based on the event schedule in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Shift lengths vary and require flexible working hours.
