We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Accounting team at our Southern Interior Administration Office in Armstrong, British Columbia.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

Working towards a Certified Professional Accounting Designation with 3 years of experience.

Demonstrated hands on sales/operational financial operating skills and a good understanding of consolidation concepts are preferred.

Excellent attention to detail, a strong understanding of general accounting principles and strong accounting knowledge in relation to cost accounting, inventory control margin analysis and consolidations.

Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills.
-
Problem-solving skills with strong decision-making capability.
-
Proficiency in forward planning and project management.
-
Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Power BI.
-
Proficiency with JDE and Dynamics AX is considered an asset.
-
Knowledge of the forestry industry is considered an asset.

In this role you will:
-
Prepare Month end monthly financial statements, presentations, analysis on a consistent and accurate basis.

Be involved in preparing and reviewing budgets, forecasts, external and internal audit requests, financial analysis, developing reports, systems administration, and consolidated accounting and reporting.
-
Calculate and/or review related accruals and payment vouchers.
-
Conduct account analysis and review of all assigned balance sheet accounts.
-
Prepare and/or review of reconciliations and journal entries including consolidation entries.
-
Prepare external audit working papers.
-
Be involved with consolidating journal entries, and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
-
Respond and provide analysis/information to support leadership, operations sectors or departments.
