Team Lead, Receipts and Disbursements – High River, AB
What a Typical Day Looks Like
Building, driving, and sustaining an engaged, high-performance team through employee development, training and coaching, and performance management and succession planning processes to drive accountability and team effectiveness Guiding junior team members in problem-solving and being adaptable to changing situations with critical thinking; provide support in addressing escalated or complex queriers when necessary Coordinate and manage team activities, in alignment with defined procedures and processes, while effectively managing strict timelines Leading the change management process to shape organizational understanding of proposed changes and establish support from key stakeholders Modeling, leading and communicating the Guiding Principles as the foundation and principal element of Western’s culture Reviewing, approving, and posting journal entries, deposits, client refunds and insurance carrier advances as required, coordinating with the team to ensure efficient processing Developing, documenting, planning and evaluating processes, procedures and policies to ensure compliance with external and internal controls Identifying, troubleshooting and resolving issues with branch offices and insurance carriers and escalating issues as required

Proven experience leading a team within Receipts & Disbursements or Accounts Receivable Experience working in a high volume and fast paced Accounts Receivable or Receipts & Disbursements group High attention to detail while managing multiple competing priorities and deadlines Results focused Strong planning and organization skills Proven experience in full cycle accounting Proven experience leading a team

Hours/Duration: 37.5 hours per week – Permanent, Full-time
Location: High River, AB Current Vacancy: Yes Requisition #: 83006 Compensation Range: $70,000 - $80,000
