About the role

BRP is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join its analytics team and play a key role at the intersection of data engineering, architecture, and business analytics. We are looking for a curious, rigorous, and impact-driven individual who enjoys building sustainable data solutions while developing a deep understanding of the business challenges they support. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into reliable, high‑performing, and actionable analytical models, while working closely with business teams, data engineers, and data architects to deliver concrete and measurable value.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO

Develop and maintain analytical data models used for reports, dashboards, and advanced use cases. Translate business requirements into clear, well-documented data transformations aligned with BRP’s architectural standards. Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines (ELT/ETL) in collaboration with Data Engineering teams. Actively participate in analytical architecture decisions (modeling choices, standards, patterns, semantic layers). Work closely with Data Architects throughout the various stages of data modeling, bringing a data-consumption-oriented perspective and ensuring alignment with analytical needs. Analyze data from various sources (primarily SAP and other enterprise systems) to ensure consistency, quality, and business understanding. Ensure data quality through testing, validation, and anomaly management. Document transformations, models, and business definitions (semantic layer). Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to ensure metrics, KPIs, and definitions accurately reflect operational reality. Contribute to the continuous evolution of the analytics platform, from raw data to consumption layers. Act as a reference point for best practices in analytical modeling and SQL development.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or equivalent. Strong experience with advanced SQL and data transformations. Solid understanding of dimensional modeling. Very strong knowledge of Power BI best practices (Desktop and Service). Understanding of data architecture concepts and the ability to actively contribute to them. Experience with modern BI environments (e.g., Snowflake – an asset). Experience with dbt (an asset). Experience with SAP or other ERP systems and the ability to interpret their data structures. Comfortable in a hybrid role combining technical expertise and business understanding. Demonstrated ability to explain and simplify complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong focus on rigor, data quality, and solution maintainability. Highly organized, able to manage priorities and thrive in a constantly evolving environment. Collaborative mindset with a proactive, continuous-improvement approach. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English. Experience working in an agile delivery environment.

This role is not…

A pure Data Engineer role focused solely on ingestion and infrastructure. A Business Analyst role focused exclusively on requirements definition. A BI Developer role focused primarily on report and dashboard production. This is a role at the core of the analytics value chain, driven by business impact, data quality, and technical excellence.
