Purpose of the position

Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Manager, Revenue Operations will inspire, motivate and lead a team that owns the infrastructure, processes, and insights that power SMART Technologies’ global revenue engine. This role ensures alignment across Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance, enabling predictable revenue growth, efficient operations, and high-quality data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Revenue Process Optimization: Design, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end revenue workflows (lead-to-cash, opportunity management, renewals).

Data Integrity & Reporting: Business owner for CRM and RevOps systems (including Salesforce, Kluster, Gainsight, and others), ensuring accuracy of pipeline, bookings, MRR/NRR, and forecast data.

Forecasting & Analytics: Build dashboards and report packages for CRO, Finance, and Executive Team. Drive forecast accuracy and revenue predictability.

Enablement Support: Partner across the UCE team to deliver sales/channel programs, playbooks, training, and tools adoption.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Finance to ensure clarity and consistency across the CRO organization by aligning bookings, revenue recognition, ARR reporting, and compensation plans. Act as the operational bridge to translate business performance into clear, finance-validated metrics and processes.

Scalability Projects: Lead special projects (e.g., international reporting frameworks, pricing/discount governance, partner revenue analysis).

Partner with Finance: Key point of contact collaborating with Finance FP&A to ensure support and alignment in areas such as budget and investment planning, KPI governance, revenue recognition, incentive plans and quota management.

Leadership: Foster strong, collaborative, cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels across the organization. Directly lead the Revenue Operations team, including hiring, skills development and strategic resource planning to meet the requirements of your team now and in the future. Provide overall leadership, coaching and guidance to staff, maintaining high levels of employee engagement. Inspire commitment to high performance and genuine adherence to SMART’s Values and Behaviour Framework. Ensure timely, appropriate recognition for high performing team members and implement performance management actions when needed. Serve as a member of the UCE Leadership team, with regular accountability and interaction with the Executive Team.

Education, work experience and skills

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, sales/revenue operations or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or a related field. Preferably at least 2 years’ of experience at the manager level or above.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and problem-solve with others.
  • Proven track record in data analysis, forecasting, pipeline management and revenue process optimization.
  • Experience with CRM systems, revenue operations and data analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, Kluster, Power BI).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement revenue strategies, optimize processes, and drive growth.

Working conditions

  • Office-based role in Calgary preferably, but candidate can live in other areas of Canada
  • Fast-paced work environment
  • Limited travel required within north America and internationally
